Online Psychologist Australia | Telehealth Psychology Services

Written by Natasha Kiemel-Incorvaia, Registered Psychologist | Last updated: December 2025

If you're searching for online psychology support and feeling overwhelmed about where to start, you're not alone. As a Registered Psychologist with over 10 years of clinical experience, Natasha works with women and teenage girls across Australia who are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, Natasha combines evidence-based therapies like EMDR, CBT, DBT and trauma-informed body-based techniques to support your individual situation. She works at your pace, drawing on her experience across private practice, educational, employment and paediatric settings to meet you where you are. Her sessions are warm, empathetic, practical and focused on giving you tools to experiment with between appointments.

If you've been struggling to find a psychologist you connect with, someone trained in the specific therapy you need, or someone who can fit appointments around your life, Natasha's secure telehealth practice brings professional psychological support directly to you anywhere in Australia.

As a solo telehealth practice, you meet with the same registered psychologist, Natasha, for each session, so you don’t have to retell your story to different people unless we decide together that a change is needed. Working with the same psychologist over time can help you feel more settled in therapy, build trust, and stay focused on what matters to you.

Why Choose Telehealth Psychology?

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is the delivery of health care services remotely through digital communication channels. For our psychology practice we provide psychological intervention using video calling via the platform Zoom or phone.

Telehealth has become a wonderful way to increase access to psychologists in remote areas, areas where there are limited psychologists or areas where the wait lists to see a psychologist are several months.

What are the Benefits of Telehealth Psychology?

There are several benefits to seeing a psychologist via telehealth. These include:

  • You find it hard to schedule appointments around other commitments such as work and child caring

  • You are located in rural and/or remote areas of Australia

  • You frequently travel due to work or other commitments

  • You have physical limitations or issues with transportation

  • You need a convenient way to access psychological support without the concern of seeing someone they know in the waiting room

  • There are no psychologists available near you

  • You haven’t been able to find a psychologist in your area you connect with

  • You haven’t been able to find a psychologist in your area trained in the therapy type you would like to try

  • Because sessions are delivered online, you can usually keep seeing the same psychologist even if you move to a different part of Australia. This can make it easier to maintain continuity of care during moves, travel or changing work and family commitments.

Please note, online psychological therapy may not be suitable for all individuals. If you have any questions regarding the suitability of our service for you, please contact our friendly administrative team via, phone, or email.

Is Online Psychological Therapy (telehealth) as Effective as Face-to-Face?

Yes, research indicates there are no significant differences between therapy that is delivered via telehealth or in-person. Research has shown telehealth is effective for treating a wide range of conditions including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and Tourette Syndrome. Further, the research indicates it is just as effective as face-to-face therapy in treating these conditions.

It is important to note, personal preference will play a role in how effective each intervention may be for you. This is dependent on your personal circumstances and also how comfortable you feel in each environment. For example, a person who struggles to use technology and finds any technological issues overwhelming may respond better to face-to-face intervention. While, a person who is struggling with anxiety and does not want to see people they know or other people in general in the waiting room may prefer telehealth.

Overall, there are a wide range of benefits to telehealth therapy and it has now been established as an effective tool in treating mental health concerns. Telehealth has also been shown to play a crucial role in increasing access to psychological intervention for those who otherwise would not be able to access the support they need.

If you have any questions about whether telehealth is a good fit for you, please talk to your personal health care provider or contact our friendly admin team via, phone, or email.

Evidence-Based Online Psychology Approaches

Natasha uses a range of evidence-based therapies to address individual needs:

  • Natasha offers online psychologist-led CBT for women across Australia, using practical, evidence-based techniques to reshape unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours. As an online psychologist providing CBT, she works collaboratively with you to identify what's maintaining your difficulties and builds skills that strengthen emotional resilience.

CBT with an online psychologist helps address:

    • Anxiety and panic attacks

    • Depression and low mood

    • Post-traumatic stress and trauma-related difficulties

    • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

    • Social anxiety and shyness

    • Stress and burnout

    • Sleep issues

    • Relationship challenges

Research shows CBT delivered by an online psychologist is as effective as in-person therapy, offering lasting tools for managing setbacks and making lasting change.

  • Your online psychologist uses ACT to help you build psychological flexibility by accepting difficult emotions whilst connecting with what truly matters to you. This evidence-based approach delivered online supports women across Australia in moving towards meaningful living rather than fighting emotional pain.

An online psychologist trained in ACT can help with:

    • Chronic worry or rumination

    • Stress and anxiety

    • Depression and low mood

    • Avoidance of difficult emotions

    • Perfectionism or self-criticism

    • Relationship challenges

    • Feeling disconnected from your values

    • Managing long-term health or pain

Online psychology delivered through ACT is increasingly recognised as a powerful approach for both everyday challenges and complex emotional difficulties.

  • Online EMDR delivered by a qualified online psychologist offers a structured, evidence-based approach to processing disturbing memories and trauma. Working with an online psychologist trained in EMDR, you'll use bilateral stimulation techniques whilst processing difficult experiences in a safe, controlled way.

    Online EMDR with Natasha addresses:

    • PTSD and complex trauma

    • Anxiety and panic

    • Depression

    • Grief, loss, and significant life changes

    • Repetitive negative thoughts and flashbacks

    • Perinatal and postnatal symptoms and traumas

As an online psychologist with EMDR training, Natasha adapts the protocol to suit your pace and needs, with research supporting its effectiveness whether delivered in-person or online. Learn more at my my comprehensive EMDR page.

  • Your online psychologist provides interactive CBiT sessions designed specifically for Tourette syndrome and persistent tic disorders. Working online with a psychologist trained in CBiT, you'll develop practical strategies to increase awareness of tics and build competing responses that reduce their frequency and impact.

Online CBiT with an online psychologist supports:

    • Tourette syndrome

    • Persistent motor or vocal tics

    • Anxiety or social challenges linked to tics

    • Functional difficulties at school, work, or in social settings

CBiT is internationally recognised as a first-line treatment for tics, with research showing its effectiveness whether delivered by an online psychologist or in-person. Sessions typically involve 8 to 10 weekly appointments.

  • Your online psychologist combines DBT's evidence-based strategies with secure telehealth delivery to help you manage intense emotions, tolerate distress, and build healthier connections. As an online psychologist trained in DBT, Natasha teaches structured skills to help you respond to life's challenges with greater effectiveness.

An online psychologist providing DBT can help with:

    • Intense emotions or mood swings

    • Relationship conflict

    • Impulsivity

    • Managing distressing thoughts or urges

    • Fear of abandonment

    • Disturbed sense of self

    • Chronic emptiness

DBT offers four core skill areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, delivered effectively by your online psychologist.

  • Your online psychologist uses Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to address how trauma and stress live in your body. Working remotely as an online psychologist trained in this approach, Natasha brings mindful awareness to physical sensations, posture, and movement patterns to support your natural healing process.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy delivered by an online psychologist addresses:

    • Trauma and PTSD

    • Feeling disconnected from your body

    • Physical symptoms tied to stress or anxiety

    • Chronic muscular tension

    • Somatic symptoms related to trauma

Grounded in neuroscience and attachment research, online Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is an evidence-supported approach to embodied trauma recovery.

  • Your online psychologist uses the Chairwork technique to help you dialogue with different parts of yourself and unresolved experiences. Delivered securely online, this approach with your psychologist supports insight into relationship patterns, internal conflicts, and emotional blocks through guided dialogue and role play.

Online Chairwork with a psychologist helps you:

    • Process unresolved trauma

    • Work through grief or loss

    • Explore relationship patterns

    • Challenge the internal critic

    • Navigate difficult life decisions and incomplete experiences

This well-researched experiential method delivered by your online psychologist brings clarity and emotional resolution, now accessible from anywhere in Australia.
